In the Household Waste department, we are a team of eight employees responsible for collecting household waste in our owner municipalities in an environmentally and cost-effective manner.

We are constantly working to improve our operations and find new solutions for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

As a waste engineer with us, you will ensure that our customers have waste services that meet their needs. Waste drop-off and collection should be able to occur under good conditions. You will need to plan, manage, and follow up on contracts related to waste collection and sludge emptying.

You will perform inspections at collection points, develop collection technical solutions for customers, and conduct technical and economic investigations, processing, information, and advice within the section's area of responsibility.

In this role, you will need to collaborate, investigate matters with our customers, and sell services based on customer needs.

Qualifications

You have a university degree in environmental science, urban planning, logistics, occupational health, or similar, or equivalent work experience. Since the job involves a lot of oral and written communication in Swedish, good language skills are required. You also have good computer skills and a valid driver's license (B).

We consider it advantageous if you have previously worked in community or logistics planning or have experience with similar tasks. Experience in selling services to customers is also a plus.

As a person, you work well with others, are attentive, and can adapt your communication to the situation. You take responsibility for your tasks, maintain focus on the right things, and can make correct assessments and priorities where needed.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement. We may apply a probationary period.
